Kare 4 Kids
Ever known of a child dying of malaria because her family can’t afford eight dollars for medicine?
In January 2010 we began a new ministry, ”K4K” (Kare for Kids of Africa). This program is designed to do three things:
- Provide mosquito nets for children to prevent malaria,
- Provide malaria medicine for those who are battling this disease
- Provide food for children on an ongoing basis.
We will use churches we have built to be distribution centers for these villages far from doctors and clinics. Our goal is to raise $1 million over the next three years to provide “Kare for Kids”. Any contribution designated to K4K will go directly to relieve the pain and suffering we have seen in western Kenya.
Feed A Child – $5/month
Through this program, $5 can feed one child for a month! Any financial assistance can make a difference. I have two pastor friends, one lost a daughter to malaria due to not having $8 for medicine and the other has had four of his six children to die because of fevers.
Besides K4K, we also have the following ways to provide relief for the hungry people of Kenya.
1. Sewing Machines – $110
Providing a sewing machine allows someone to sell clothes making money for their family. At this time $110 will provide a foot pedal sewing machine and $20 worth of material.
2. Basket Making – $20
There is a group of widows that make baskets to sell as their only livelihood (one lady is a 100 years old). A $20 dollar donation would greatly assist them to buy materials to make baskets that they can take to market and sell.
3. Goats for Kids – $50
We are in the process of buying 500 goats to give to widows with children. A goat will provide them with milk for daily nourishment. The cost of a goat is $50.
Thanks for your interest in supporting K4K ministry.
